What is it?
The Beam Fixed In-vehicle Telephone provides full hands-free operation to the driver. The terminal comes complete with an Intelligent handset that can be easily located close to the driver.

The In-vehicle unit supports all Iridium Voice and Data Services and comes complete with a DB9 Data connection for Dial up or Direct Internet Data at up-to 10-12 Kbps.

In-vehicle hands-free enables the user to have a professional in-vehicle installation for the Iridium network. The handset also provides for private conversation simply by removing the handset from the cradle.

Full In-vehicle Integration
The Beam In vehicle kit allows a Beam terminal to be permanently installed in a vehicle and provides full duplex hands-free operation. The Microphone and speaker are simply installed in a convenient location within the vehicle

Intelligent Handset Interface
The In-vehicle kit comes complete with an Intelligent Handset for voice calls as well as utilizing the Iridium SMS service. The handset is compact and includes an inbuilt ring alert.

Installation
The In vehicle kit can be deployed into various types of vehicles. The kit consists of the Iridium transceiver module, Hands-free interface and the Intelligent Handset. The equipment can be easily connected to 11-32V Dc input to meet the requirements of any vehicle applications.

Selecting an appropriate antenna and antenna cable (not included in kit) for the installation is very important for optimum performance. Mounting brackets, Intelligent Handset, Speaker, Microphone and cable assemblies are all supplied with the kit.

Alert / Tracking Interface
The In vehicle Hands-free is capable of being used in conjunction with one of the Beam TrackALERT interface units. RST030S or RST035S This will support deployment for tracking, monitoring and emergency alert installations whilst providing the convenience of full hands free operation.

Warning
It is recommended to have the RST973 installed by a qualified Auto Electrician. The handheld handset should not be used whilst operating a vehicle.

Why do you need it?
The Beam In-vehicle telephone is suitable for fixed or vehicle communications whereby hands-free voice communications is required. The terminal also supports all Iridium Data services.
