What is it?
Sky Connect Marine is an Iridium voice and data terminal for use on vessels. A dedicated handset on the bridge and/or wired/cordless telephones can be used to make Iridium calls. Users of Sky Connect Marine are protected from the elements, since only the external antenna is exposed. A computer may be attached to Sky Connect Marine for email and Internet access.

Why do you need it?
Sky Connect Marine allows shipboard personnel to make telephone calls anywhere in the world. Wired or cordless phones located throughout the vessel can be used to receive or originate calls using the “Iridium Dial Tone” provided by Sky Connect Marine. There is no need to be outside in the weather in order to make an Iridium call. Crewmembers can take advantage of prepaid Crew Calling, while officers can use the post paid billing.
