What is it?
Sky Connect Mobile is an Iridium voice and data terminal for use on land vehicles. A dedicated handset is used to make Iridium calls. Users of Sky Connect Mobile are protected from the elements, since only the external antenna is exposed. A computer may be attached to Sky Connect Mobile for email and Internal access. A cordless phone may be added for Iridium access when away from the vehicle.

Why do you need it?
Sky Connect Mobile allows personnel in a land vehicle to make telephone calls anywhere in the world. A rugged handset is used to receive or originate calls. There is no need to be outside in the weather in order to make an Iridium call. You can even make calls away from the vehicle using a cordless phone option that plugs into Sky Connect Mobile. Internet and switched data calls can be made using a laptop computer connected to Sky Connect Mobile.
